November: Gerald's remix of Cabaret Voltaire's "Hypnotised" out now
Cabaret Voltaire box set "Conform To Deform"

"A Guy Called Gerald's Music Mix" of "Hypnotised" (that originally only appeared on 12" single) is released on a Cabaret Voltaire 3CD box set, entitled "Conform To Deform" on Virgin Records.

The Funkstorung remix of "Humanity" appears on a new !K7 CD, "Viceversa" - a collection of tracks that have been remixed by Funkstorung.

September: Herbie Hancock 'Future2Future' album out now in Japan, the US, and Europe
Herbie Hancock album "Future 2 Future"

A new Herbie Hancock album "Future 2 Future" is out now on Herbie's label, Transparent Records.

The album, produced by Bill Laswell (of Material), is out now in Japan, the US and Europe.

 Gerald's track is called "Black Gravity".

July: 808 State's "Flow Coma" (Aphex Twin remix) - "2 Remixes by AFX"

Finally, one of the remixes from the 808 State (when Gerald was a member) album, "Newbuild", has appeared on a limited edition EP out on Rephlex/MEN Records...

Vinyl format is a white label 12" in a standard paper inner sleeve. there is a sticker on one label and also in the centre/top of the sleeve. Very nice, dj-friendly cut. Later issues appeared with a pink label.

CD format is a plain cd, with the words "2 remixes by AFX" on the disc and a sticker affixed to the centre/top/front of a standard jewel case with the words "2 REMIXES by AFX, MEN 1 CD, SRD 44 (0) 20 8802 3000, EFA 807122, 2001 Made in England".

Track#1 is a remix of 'Flow Coma' by 808 State Track#2 is a remix of 'Box Energy' by DJ Pierre MEN records is a sub label of Rephlex records.

A Guy Called Gerald 'Blueprint'

Gerald released his new 'mix' album, "Blueprint", on April 16th 2001 in the UK, and later in the US.

This is a mix album, although *not* drum'n'bass - the mixes are more subtle.

This is what Studio !K7 has to say on Gerald's recent activity: "After a fairly long stay on Jamaica A GUY CALLED GERALD is working on a new project which the master himself calls "Trance-hall" (smoke it !). A 12inch is in progress."

The project, "Trance-Hall", will consist of a series of records. I still don't have any release dates, as yet, though...
