Important Information for Vendors
Public Entertainment Licences & Street Trader OperatorsDue to changes in legislation anyone wishing to operate at our Gala Day now requires to hold a licence under the Civic Government (Scotland) 1982 Act it is with regret that the Gala Day Committee is no longer able to accept requests from
- Street Traders such as snack vans or novelty sellers unless they have a Street Traders Licence
- Vendors providing entertainment or recreation such as children’s stalls or bouncy castles unless they have a Public Entertainment Licence
Please note that in addition to the above licences, proof of appropriate insurances and risk assessment is required. The appropriate health & hygiene certification is also required for food vendors.
Possession of the appropriate licence, insurances and risk assessments does not infer that any request to operate at the Gala Day will be accepted. The Committee reserves the right to refuse any request.
Please submit any requests using the feedback form.
