!FileSpeed
v0.22 (21 May 2022)
FileSpeed is a small, simple program for checking file/disc access speeds for:
- Both loading and saving.
- Increasing sizes of files (which affects speed).
- One or more discs.
- Local or remote.
- Whole files at a time.
- Sequential access.
- Random access.
It enables easy re-testing to try and get consistent results,
as tests can be re-run with a couple of clicks.
The results can be saved as a text file, and can be automatically displayed
as a graph for easy comparison.
Requirements to run
- Druck's TimerMod for better timing than centisecond.
- My Reporter for output of statistics.
- Colton Software's Fireworkz if you want to plot graphs. FireWorkzPro should work as well.
All freely available!
Example of Graphical Output
Example graph showing File Speeds in MB/s vs File Size in MB, using RAMFS & Memphis on Titanium.
