SPECIAL PROJECTS:

PETER AND THE WOLF
(October, 1988)

This warped classical children's record featuring narration and poems written by "Weird Al" Yankovic and music arranged, composed and performed by synthesizer whiz Wendy Carlos has unfortunately just gone out of print – but if you're lucky, you may turn up a copy somewhere. Includes a bizarre re-telling of "Peter And The Wolf" and the Saint-Saens/Ogden Nash-inspired "Carnival Of The Animals - Part II." (CBS 44567)

BABALU MUSIC
(September, 1991)

Al produced this collection of the greatest musical moments from the "I Love Lucy" show. He is not actually heard anywhere on this collection, although his skill at pop culture manipulation is in evidence on the "Babalu Music" medley. (Columbia 48507)

OTHER TRACKS:

HEADLINE NEWS
(September, 1994)

Al's parody of the Crash Test Dummies' "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" highlighted some of the more controversial (and humorous?) headlines from 1993 and '94. "Headline News" was later issued on Al's Greatest Hits Vol 2 and Permanent Record compilations, and the original single is now out of print. (Scotti Bros 78011)

SPY HARD
(May, 1996)

Yes, we're aware that this is a picture of the "Gump" CD single... but included on the single is "Spy Hard", the theme for the opening title of the motion picture of the same name. Spy Hard, that is. This single also features bonus instrumental and orchestral mixes of the song, and is out of print, too. (Scotti Bros 78074)

POLKAMON
(July, 2000)

Al's polka tribute to the tremendously popular Pokémon characters appears on the soundtrack for POKÉMON THE MOVIE 2000, and during the closing credits in the movie. Other artists on the album include the B-52s and Donna Summer. (Atlantic 83370)
