Pictures of Dobermans fostering kittens,
Taking a bath when the telephone rings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Lovely Sue Lawley and droll Jasper Carrott,
Heartbroken footballers sick as a parrot,
Actors on chat shows and grannies on swings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Weathermen promising better conditions,
Laughing policemen and grave politicians,
Puppets with somebody pulling the strings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

When the frost bites,
When the word stings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favourite tings
And then I feel twice
As bad.
