Subject: Econet via internet

I notice the latest version of PC BeebEm has econet support, with a
facility to map station numbers to ip addresses.
Would it therefore be possible, to have an arc that was connected to
both the internet and local econet to act as a gateway between the two ?

E.g. could a PC running BeebEm communicate with a remote econet network
comprising 8-bit beebs and arc fileserver in such a way that it just
appears as another station on that network ? How would the arc need to
be configured to allow this ?

Chris.

Subject: [BBC-Micro] Atom Cassette Lead

My previous message has reminded me of a problem I was
having last time I was playing with my Atoms, namely I couldn't
get the cassette recorder (official Acorn BBC Micro type) to work.

I think this was something to do with the cassette lead, which I
think only needs 3 pins for the Atom, so I wonder if somebody
could let me know how to make up a correct lead for the Atom,
or how to modify an existing BBC cassette lead - or preferably
Econet lead if possible?

Best wishes,

Ian
