Subject: Problems with ROMs

I have recently downloaded a copy of ADFS-Utilities 1-1 and transferred 
it to my BBC Master using Xfer.
I do not have access to an EPROM programmer, so I loaded the rom into 
sideways ram using the command:

*SRLOAD ADFSROM 8000 7

A *ROMS check indicated that the filing system had been successfully 
loaded.  However, when I try to access the filing system using the *ADU 
or *MENU commands, the disk drive whirrs and a get a BAD COMMAND error.

I then discovered that you need to {CTRL+BREAK} reset the BBC for it to 
recognise the presence of the new "rom" - but every time I do this the 
BBC hangs and I have to switch off and then on again.

Is there any workaround?  Can anyone help?
