One positive from the storm is that the beach area is almost completely clean, the silt has been washed/blown away!

For information the Heathrow weather summary for the period 07:00 GMT to 17:00 GMT shows that the wind speed, on the hour, was between 26mph & 49 mph and a direction of West South West to West, but predominantly West.
