This race takes place on New Years Day and is a single start Handicap race. There is a perpetual prize of a stuffed toy 'Pink Elephant', the winners also receive depending on the year a small pink elephant to keep. The last few years have seen hand made items presented to the winners. Thank you to those lady members who spent the time crafting the unique trophies.

The warning signal will not be before 12 noon and safety boat cover is only available for the racing.
