Hatchling Sand Lizard (Lacerta agilis) - still wearing its shell suit!!! This is the second time I have come across a hatchling lizard who has managed to open both ends of its egg and USE both ends!! Apologies for the poor photo - but it is irresistible. The lizard is a member of the Wealden race and is, in any event, typically dark in colour.
