I have been having fun adapting the Raspberry Pi to the Lapdock in the smallest possible package. The aim has been to make it comparable to the original Atrix mobile phone that the Lapdock was designed for. This is the second version, and it is somewhat close to the original aim.
Here are some pictures of the result:

A side view
Pip2 case on its own
The lapdock case has to be modified
The case fits snuggly in the cradle
The inside in detail
This SATA drive case has about 1mm extra headroom inside, which makes things quite a bit easier. It costs much the same as the previous one.
The HDMI connection has to be made by cannibalising other connectors. It is not for the faint-hearted.
The 5V power is from the Lapdock which means that I can remove a couple of components: C6 is a smoothing capacitor and stands a bit too high; D17, on the underside is a 5v zenner, I think, and is by far and away the highest thing once the SD card holder has been removed.
The super-capacitors at the bottom are to supply current when the Lapdock lid is closed and momentarily switches off.
The circuit board at the bottom left is a real-time clock from CJEMicro's.
The GPIO pins have right-angle headers above and below. I would probably do this differently a second time.
There is an on/off switch at the top left where the mini USB went, and a reset button below where the LED went.
