She came through the door

With the treasure of loneliness in her eyes,

And the spring pregnant in her bosom,

And the sun waiting for the dawn in her womb.

Through the tempest I called her

Without any name,

And when she was free from the waves,

She sat on the shore of silence,

Her head bent down from the Milky Way to the Earth,

And I heard God giving a painful sigh.

I asked:

"To know each other is not enough?"

And she said:

"Save Me!"

And I knew that saving her

Was losing myself

And recklessly I let myself be lost,

And God sweetly smiled

In the ecstasy of submission.
