She came through the door With the treasure of loneliness in her eyes, And the spring pregnant in her bosom, And the sun waiting for the dawn in her womb.
Through the tempest I called her Without any name, And when she was free from the waves, She sat on the shore of silence, Her head bent down from the Milky Way to the Earth, And I heard God giving a painful sigh. I asked: "To know each other is not enough?" And she said: "Save Me!"
And I knew that saving her Was losing myself And recklessly I let myself be lost, And God sweetly smiled In the ecstasy of submission.
