Shane Larkin says of himself:

"I've been writing poetry since I was fifteen but it took me a good few years to find my voice.
Since 2000, I've been writing my best work and in 2002 I kind of exploded, writing over forty poems that year.
Since then, I've managed to keep a steady pace. I've also been a professional actor for the last four years, working mainly in theatre, but I'm concentrating more on film at the moment and planning to direct both film and theatre. I have made one short film which I will be trying to enter in festivals as soon as possible."

Somehow they sense the

Particular nature of the world,

Its character, and, not being

To their liking, reject it,

Choosing to be born foreign,

Alien, a different people.
