Unaware,

Even of her own existence,

The Sun

Scatters her treasures of warmth

and light

Into the infinite space.

It is no wonder that we,

who take pleasure

In being envied, begged and praised,

So unhesitatingly see in her

A devoted mother,

Sublimely generous with her life.
